Conversation of A-listed building – Stracathro, Angus

We were delighted to be approached by a client wishing to look into the potential of converting an A-listed building into residential units.

Upon carrying out an extensive measurement survey of the building, we appreciated the importance of the building and felt it was necessary to retain and reinstate as many features as possible. When it came to the design stage we skillfully incorporated 4 separate residential units into the building without detracting from the historic fabric of the building.

We submitted our initial design ideas to the council with a Pre-Application Enquiry to establish the likelihood of being able to convert the building. Positive feedback was received from both Angus Council and Historic Environment Scotland.
