House Extension, Bridgefield House

Having spent many years living aboard, in a beautiful house, our client contacted McGregor Garrow Architects looking to carry out a house extension to their existing house. The brief was to provide them with the same quality of space to which they had become accustomed. They wanted to do this to reflect the way they wanted to live, in a modern, open-plan house.

At the Feasibility stage, our client was full of ideas, which we incorporated into the layout and design of the new extension. The design/layout provides the house with  the grand proportions and presence, which the client was looking for. A newly formed entrance leads into a stunning double height space at the rear of the property. The proposed alterations vastly improve the house and provide the client the space they aspired to, which is our aim for all of our projects.

Due to the scale of the project we engaged the services of a Quantity Surveyor to provide cost information. Once the design had been agreed the drawings were passed onto the QS, who prepared a cost plan. This provided the client with a estimated construction cost, providing them with the confidence to proceed to the next stage.
