Architectural Services – from Initial Consultation to Completion

An architect in relaxed discussion with a client, reviewing drawings or plans together. Warm, natural setting — not corporate. Candid and human feel, like a real working meeting rather than a staged office shoot.

STAGE 01

Consultation and Project Brief

It is important to fully understand client requirements, and to develop a project brief. Each project is unique and deserves tailored services. From the information gathered, a fee proposal is provided.

STAGE 02

Initial Design

This stage normally includes: a measurement survey, drawings of existing, and design proposals in line with the brief. Proposals are discussed and agreed to ensure they meet requirements.

STAGE 03

Planning Applications

If required, an application for Planning Permission is submitted. Drawings are prepared, along with any supporting statements. Some work can be carried out under Permitted Development Rights.

Detailed technical architectural drawings and structural plans

STAGE 04

Building Warrant Applications

Almost all projects require a Building Warrant. It is a detailed stage including: structure, services, construction details, notes – all in line with technical standards. A structural engineer is normally engaged.

STAGE 05

Tender

Advice is given on the appropriate tender process. Tender costs are reported, and review meetings are carried out to ensure all areas of the project are considered and can be delivered.

STAGE 06

Construction Administration

During this stage, we administer the building contract, carry out site inspections, issue instructions, and certify payments to the contractor — overseeing the project through to completion.

Architectural Visualisations

A great way of showing clients what their project could look like during the early stages. Easier to understand than drawings. Can be added at any project stage – normally during Initial Design.
